To Place An Order

image The process is 10/20/30/40. A 10 percent non-refundable deposit at the time the order is placed locks in your price and locks in your approximate start date in the schedule. The deposit price is for purchase of a spot on my build list, and is non-refundable. (See Right of Refusal below.)

In some instances I will require more for a deposit. Some woods, such as Brazilian rosewood, special African blackwood, or any other wood that is one of a kind, will require an up-front deposit. It usually works out to something like 20% of the full purchase price of the guitar.

At the start date or when construction begins, I will require 20 percent of the guitar price.

When the guitar is ready for finish work, I will accept 30 percent to continue the process.

To Receive Your Guitar: Upon completion, the balance due (40 percent) plus shipping and any last minute additions. I will accept final payment in full by check or cash before shipping.

Right of Refusal: If the guitar you ordered is not satisfactory, you have 48 hours in which to contact me to initiate a return. (It hasn't happened yet) Upon receipt of the guitar in the same condition it left my shop, the purchase price will be credited to you and will be refunded in full upon sale to another customer. As with all rules, this one does have some exceptions: Special orders (inlay, unusual combinations, really odd neck shapes) may require repair or alteration to make it saleable to another customer. After completion of the sale, your money will be refunded less the price of the repair or alteration and less the 10 percent non-refundable deposit.

Life being life, things happen. A client may postpone for up to one year, but beyond that, the original price cannot be guaranteed.
