LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY

Upon notice of any defect of the guitar by the original purchaser, Kathy Wingert will repair or replace, at her option, any defective part or material. The Purchaser shall assume and pay the cost of all shipping or postage charges of the repaired guitar.

Warranty Limitations

You must be the original purchaser of the guitar, and the guitar must have been purchased directly from Kathy.

This warranty is limited to my lifetime as a guitar maker. When I quit taking orders for good, I'm done.

Beginning in 2016, guitars purchased through dealers are covered by a limited seven year warranty. Other than the duration, the limited warranties are otherwise identical. This is the only change ever made to the warranty offered by Wingert Guitars. The warranty for instruments purchased or ordered before 2016 is available HERE.

This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear to the instrument. Damage incurred by misuse, accident, natural cracking of wood or finishes is not covered by this warranty. Sinking of finish or the fine separations that are common at the purfling lines are not defective, they are typical and they add character to the guitar. Items that will wear out or require adjustments in normal use are not considered defects, these items include frets, fingerboards, tuning hardware, nuts, saddles, bridges, bridge pins, bridge plates, pickguards, truss rods, strings, and finish wear.

Cases, pickups and tuners are not warranted by me. I will always do my best to to help repair or replace, but ultimately, it is up the makers of those products.
